About Dr. Gail Bushur-Irwin

Dr. Gail Bushur-Irwin has been practicing veterinary medicine for more than 22 years, with experience in private practice, shelter medicine, rescue work, and underserved communities across Illinois, Indiana, and Texas. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong passion for making high-quality veterinary care more accessible to animals in need.

After years of working closely with shelters and rescue organizations, including supporting the SPCA cat flight program in Dallas, Dr. Gail founded the Kay Foundation in honor of her mother, Charlene Bushur. Her mission is simple: to provide compassionate, best-practice veterinary care at a reasonable cost and help as many companion animals as possible throughout North Texas.
